The interactive Star Wars Battlefront Planets page has new videos and info

The Star Wars Battlefront (ad) website has new content up on their planets page.

The page is interactive and allows players to initially chose to learn more about each of the four planets in Star Wars Battlefront.

After a planet is selected, a video of gameplay on that planet is loaded and begins playing. The video pauses every few seconds and icons appear on the screen. You can click those icons to learn more about certain aspects of the game, and some of them even have additional videos in them.

These new pages have enabled us to learn a lot more about the maps in the new game.

Some info we learned includes:

  • Endor includes both a fairly large imperial bunker in which the battle takes place.
  • Endor also features the Imperial landing area where Luke meets Vader in Return of the Jedi.
  • We see a speeder bike in action on Endor.
  • Tattooine features Jabba the Hutt’s palace, a Jawa Sandcrawler, and the Pit of Carkoon.
  • Tattooine also features a large rebel base that has a hangar for the Millenium Falcon similar to the hangar we saw the Falcon in during A New Hope.
  • There also appears to be a large palace or city on Tattooine.
  • Night falls as the battle continues on Tattoine.
  • On Sullust, we see both the Millenium Falcon and Slave 1 in action.
  • The end of the Sullust video gives us our first look at Emperor Palpatine in action.
  • A smaller Hoth map includes an X-Wing covered in a tarp.
  • We see Rebel soldiers fighting Imperial Snowtroopers inside the Hoth base control room.
  • Another room on Hoth includes the medic droid and Bacta tank.
