Orion gets pulled from Halo 5: Guardians

Halo 5: Guardians (ad) is getting rave reviews and is selling extremely well, but the game isn’t without flaws.

Many players have been frustrated by a map called Orion which has been plagued with issues. One major complaint about the map is the spawn points, which can be camped by the opposing team enabling a slaughter to take place.

Today, 343 Industries took action and pulled Orion from the playlists. A 343 representative said this about the move;

We’re removing Orion, in its current form, from all playlists so that we can take some time to remove and patch map exploits as well as make additional improvements to the map before re-adding it where appropriate.”

Based on that, it sounds like you can expect a revised Orion to be added back into the playlists in the future.

While it would be nice to have a game that is perfect at launch, it is at least nice to know that 343 Industries is listening to players and continuing to work on their game and even add to it. As announced on Halo Waypoint, 15 additional map and game mode combinations have now been added to the game as well.
