NXOE coming November 12th

Xbox head Phil Spencer announced during the Halo 5 livestream that the New Xbox One Experience (or NXOE) will roll out on November 12th to all Xbox One players.

The NXOE is the Xbox One’s new user interface (pictured at the top of this page) which should be easier to use and also give a slight performance boost. The new interface is heavily tied to Windows 10.

Along with the NXOE comes backwards compatibility for Xbox 360 games. There will be “more than 100 Xbox 360 games” playable at launch, according to Microsoft. We know some of the games will include Gears of War, Mass Effect, Burnout 2, and Borderlands. There is a list of several more games that were included in the preview of backwards compatibility available on Xbox.com.
